Capparis spinosa Capparis spinosa is a useful medicinal plant. It grows on mountains and hilly areas of Gilgit baltistan. Botanical name is Capparis spinosa. Bikh kabar, kabar is Urdu name, in local language of Shina it is known as kavir and in Broshaski it is named as chopor. The plant blooms in June to august and the local ladies pick the buds, flowers and fruits of this important medicinal plant in these months for domestic use as well as for earning purpose.
